September 24th: Shaky

Got the alert animation reasonably finished. I tried to make it seem like it was shaking with excitement/fear/adrenaline, but not sure how great the overall effect is. Still, I think it’s better and more interesting than not having the effect, and if I can pin down what’s not working I can improve it more. It’s good enough for now, anyway.

So with the outstanding animation work taken care of, what’s next? First I’ll probably just spend some time testing it in different situations to make sure I like the overall behavior of the entity and there aren’t any noticeable bugs.

Actually it also occurs to me I should have a hit reaction animation, so I’ll at least make a basic version of that — it may end up just being one frame anyway. I can probably do both testing and that one frame tomorrow.
