September 15th: Into Place

Spent today working on the enemy entity’s movement, trying to switch from an on/off constant velocity model to an acceleration model more similar to what the player character uses — which makes it kind of like an AI controlled player, which is probably grossly overdesigned for this genre of game but, you know, whatever. Anyway, it works mostly okay for when the entity’s just walking around, but the calculations for movement when it’s pathfinding are a bit more stringent and will require a bit of work to get working accurately. I think it’ll be feasible, and not even that hard, but something I’ll have to pay a lot of attention to to make sure I don’t break anything.
