Tested out the new death animation stuff with a very simple test case and it seems to work fine. Currently trying to figure out how to have entities affect the greater game state, as with triggering events and the like, which is a bit tricky. The main challenge here is just figuring out a good way to make the necessary variables accessible to entities, which requires figuring out which variables need to be accessible and how and when. So that will take some thinking.
I also roughed out a text logging system which required a few improvements to my file IO tools, and added a system for differentiating between placeable entities (like enemies, walls, platforms, items, etc) and non-placeable entities (attacks, scripting nodes, etc).
